Triplet Nails: Rainbow Sugar Spun Nails with Models Own HyperGel

Rainbow Sugar Spun Nails

Today is the third instalment of Triplet Nails.  Back in August - how has it been that long?! - I teamed up with Aimée of Pinkglow's Pretty Polish and Lauren of The Naily Mail to do our second triplet nails.  They're my oldest blogger buddies and triplet nails is our way of challenging ourselves to try out a technique we've not had a go at before.  This time we decided on sugar spun nails which is a fun and, as it turns out, a bit harder than I thought it would be!  To give me a start, I used this tutorial here.  Read on for more photos and to see what they came up with...

I used a base of Barry M Cotton*, then a variety of Models Own HyperGel polishes - Caribbean Crush* (orange), Sundress (pink), Purple Glaze, Bermuda Blue* and Turquoise Green.  There isn't a yellow in the HyperGel line up yet (pleeeease Models Own, can we have one?), so I used 17 Go Go.

This is what Aimée did with this technique - I love how chunky her lines are!

Lauren's thin lines are similar to mine, but I love how she used both colours all over the nail.

  1. I love your mani! I am Pinning it to my nail board and have a question about one of the polishes - 17 Go Go. Is 17 the brand name? I cannot find anything about that polish, just wondering. Thanks!

    1. Thanks! It's a really old polish actually. The brand is now Seventeen and made by Boots.
