Amida Spa at David Lloyd Leisure Hampton Review

During my summer holiday I was asked if I would like to have my nails done at an Amida Spa at David Lloyd Leisure and since my toes were in a proper old state (I may have mentioned this before...) after doing a half marathon and spending a couple of weeks in Africa, I jumped at the chance of having my feet pampered and toenails made pretty!

The main corridor has relaxing lighting throughout
There are five Amida Spas around the country - High Wycombe, Beckenham, Chelsea, Farnham and Hampton.  Chelsea and Hampton were my closest options, but since I wanted to be able to drive and park my car I went for the one in Hampton.  I was greeted warmly by the reception team and given a tour of the spa by Katie, before having the opportunity to spend some time reading my book in the Deep Relaxation Room.  The spa has 7 treatment rooms, 2 physio rooms and a pedicure room.  10 therapists work at the spa, and though they are not all full time, I was told it is usually not too difficult to book an appointment.

The beds in the Deep Relaxation Room are super comfortable
In the Deep Relaxation Room there are five beds, all with the softest cosiest blankets I've come across and a fountain with rippling water which complements the calming music playing.  It was a lovely place to lie back and forget there was an outside world.

Chloe, my pedicurist, came to get me when I was about to slip off into the land of nod I was feeling so relaxed and took me through to the pedicure room.  I had opted for the Jessica Nails Pedicure* which was a 55 minute treatment - and I had such an enjoyable time chatting to Chloe and putting the world to rights!  Not wanting to let go of summer, I chose a beautiful orangey coral colour for my nails - Jessica Tropical Sunset.

The Amida Spa Hampton also has a sauna, sanarium and steam room, as well as a hydrospa, heated relaxation beds, a 25m lap pool and plunge and relaxation pools.

I really enjoyed my trip to Amida Spa at David Lloyd Leisure in Hampton - and will definitely be going back for another pedicure with Chloe soon.  The staff were all so friendly and it really felt like a proper retreat, albeit just for a morning!  (One thing to note though - if you are using a Sat Nav, put in David Lloyd, not Amida Spa as I ended up 10 minutes down the road!)

There are lots of different treatments available at Amida Spas, details of which can be found at  The Jessica Nails 55 Minute Pedicure I had is £41 for non-members.
