Liz Earle Make Up*

A few weeks ago I went with my friend Emily of Blog Me Beautiful to a Liz Earle blogger event at their King's Road store.  We had a lovely evening - which included having our make up done by the gorgeous Nathalie Eleni.  She chose the perfect tones, shades and tints to suit our complexions and then we were lucky enough to be sent the products a week later.

The products photographed above:

Signature Eye Colour in Bronze 05 (£13.50 / 3g)
Sheer Lip Gloss in Petal 06 (£13.50 / 5ml)
Healthy Glow Cream Blush in Rose 04 (£16.50 / 2g)
Brow Pencil in Fair 01 (£11 / 1g)
Eye Pencil in Golden Bronze 03 (£11 / 1g)
Sheer Skin Tint SPF 15 in Beige 02 (Medium Skin Tones) (£21 / 40ml)
Natural Finish Pressed Powder in Sheer Ivory 02 (£19.50 / 10g)
Signature Lip Colour in Heather 17 (£14.00 / 3.5g)

I've never used Liz Earle make up before now, but having tried out the products below, I can safely say that I'll be going back to explore the full range.  The Signature Lip Colour in Heather has become a firm favourite - it's a lovely muted dusky pink which looks like you're wearing lipstick (and thus finishes a face perfectly) but it's not over the top.  It has avocado oil and shea butter in it which mean that it feels really soft and smooth and has a light shine finish.  Staying power is great - I love being able to have a cup of tea and not need to reapply straight after!  It looks particularly pretty with the Sheer Lip Gloss in Petal over the top of it, for a more glamorous evening look.

It took me a little while to get used to the Sheer Skin Tint SPF 15 - although the colour (Beige) is a great match for my skin and it blends in well, it has a bit of a sticky finish to it (it's hard to wash off hands after application, even with soap) - it does look lovely and dewy and radiant (as the box says it will!) but I'm not keen on touching my face and feeling it a bit tacky to touch.  To avoid this, I used the Natural Finish Pressed Powder in Sheer Ivory to lessen the sticky feeling and that worked a treat.

All of the Liz Earle make up range can be found on the website: uk.lizearle.com/makeup.  (I've ordered various other bits and pieces from them before - post coming up next week) and the service is amazing - really quick delivery and everything is all wrapped beautifully in tissue paper which makes it a real treat to receive it!)
