For this design I did a base of each Fruit Pastel, then cut myself some zig zag chevron strips of Scotch tape with some craft scissors I picked up at Tiger for a couple of pounds. I put a quick dry top coat (No 7 Stay Perfect) over the base colours and waited until they were completely dry before I used tweezers to stick the tape onto my nails. Then I painted a different pastel over the top, let it dry for a few seconds before using the tweezers to pull off the Scotch tape (don't wait for the polish to dry completely - otherwise the Scotch tape will get stuck).
I have to say that I find the Fruit Pastels quite difficult to work with - they seem to take quite a while to dry and because they're quite thick polishes, getting them smooth is a little hard sometimes. Quick dry top coat is a total essential with these!

I think I prefer the chevrons without top coat, actually - without it it has a slightly squidgy look which is quite fun. What do you think? Squidgy or smooth?
Linking up this week with the Nail Files and Mani Monday...
