Swatch Round Up: Models Own Fireworks Collection*

I thought I'd do one final post on the Models Own Fireworks Collection - a little round up of all five polishes over a plain white base to show up the glitters most effectively.  There are also a few little macro shots of the glitters and full hand swatches of the polishes - click on the photos to take you to the original swatch post.

Click on these links to go to the individual swatches: Sparkler, Rocket, Banger, Catherine Wheel and Roman Candle.

Overall I adore these glitters - they're bright, fun and definitely remind me of fireworks.  Application is quick and easy, though a quick dry top coat will help the polish to dry a bit more speedily.  My favourites are Banger and Roman Candle, though the more I look at Catherine Wheel the more I like that one too!

  1. I think Roman Candle and Rocket are my favorites. Did you find that these were quite similar to the Mirrorball collection? I like Rocket as it's a different colour and Roman Candle looks really different over all the bases x

    1. I've only got Freak Out from the Mirrorball collection so only have that to compare - but I found that quite a difficult polish to work with because some of the flakes are so big and stick up. There's no sticking up of glitter in these ones so it's much smoother - and the pieces are a lot more delicate. Maybe I should do a comparison post between Freak Out and Banger because they're very similar colours! x

    2. I was going to ask the same as Pinkglow, I think some of them look similar to the Mirrorballs. I'm still undecided on this collection, I like Roman Candle and and Catherine Wheel, but I'm not sure if I am going to rush out to get them. Great swatches, I like how you tried them over different colours x

  2. They are so nice! I think my favourite is "sparkler". Have you had any trouble with the brushes at all?

  5. New follower here too :)
These look really cool, even though I'm usually not a fan of (big) bar glitter, but for the fireworks concept it works really well!
