I was lucky enough to go to the press event for the new Little Mix Nails last night with the lovely Emily from BlogMeBeautiful. It's a new range of nail wraps and press on nails that have been created by Elegant Touch and can be found in New Look stores and online (RRP £5.99 for press ons, £4.99 for wraps). And what a treat the event was! First of all we met the fantastic Jenny Pasha from 10 Blank Canvases, who worked closely with the Little Mix girls to design the press on nails and nail wraps.
Here's Jenny with some of her original nail designs the Little Mix girls chose
She talked us through the inspiration for all of the girls' nails and the sort of looks the girls love and how her designs came to be. The Little Mix stylist Alexis Knox was also at the event and we had such fun chatting to her about the girls' style and styling in general - she was also wearing the most awesome statement trousers and shoes! She had chosen some New Look pieces to represent the styles of each of the girls, which were displayed behind the nails. Definitely going to have to take a trip to New Look to find some of them!

So, to the actual nails - because I'm sure that's why you're really here! Because the Little Mix girls all have their own different styles, so do their nails. They wanted to bring out a range of nails that are easy for all to use, that last a long time and don't need any messy glue. Emily and I were lucky enough to have the lovely Elegant Touch ladies do our nails - Emily went for Perrie's nail wraps and I went for Perrie's press on nails.

The nail wraps are really easy to apply - peel off the sheet and smooth onto the nails, then file off the extra overlapping the nail tips. The press on nails are equally easy to apply - they use nail tabs (sticky pads a bit like double sided sticky tape) which you peel off the sheet and pop onto your nails then put the press on nail over the top. (You might have to trim down the nail tab after the nail is on).
Each box of press ons has 24 nails - 10 in the pretty designs you see below and 14 which are plain (or glittery) colours to go with the design nails, so you could just wear one of the design nails as an accent nail with plain ones on your other fingers - so much choice!
Here are my Perrie press on nails...
These are in the style of the awesome galaxy nails I've seen around everywhere recently. I've never worn press on nails, or falsies, in my life before - I'm usually all about the natural nails (it's possibly a laziness thing!), but these are certainly fun. They look great and will dress up any outfit (though I think I can get away with daytime wearing too!) - some of the other nails will be particularly fab on a night out (like Jade and Jesy's). They're a little bit longer than I'm used to (I would never wear my natural nails this long), but I think I can cope with that because they look so cute! I'm off to Copenhagen for a girls' weekend this weekend so I'm excited about not having to take any polish with me to touch up my nails - hopefully these will last out the trip (but I think I'll take some of the nail wraps with me, just in case!)
And because I'm sure you want to see what the other press ons and wraps look like, here they are... (unfortunately I didn't get a set of Perrie's wraps in my goodie bag, but I did get two lots of Jesy's!)

I'll post photos of the other wraps and press ons on my fingers when I get around to wearing them! For now, though I'm loving my Perries!
