Pink Gradient Nails

I finally got around to trying out gradient nails last week, helped out by a tutorial on Polly Polish.  It actually didn't take nearly as long as I thought it might - turns out when you sponge polish on, it dries pretty quickly. I used a little triangular make up sponge (I'll take a photo of this sometime when I remember!) which I got in a big bag of sponges from Poundland.

I used Barry M White as the base, followed by stripes directly painted onto the sponge of (from light to dark) Maybelline Forever Strong French Manicure 76, 17 Fairy Cake and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Twisted Pink.

Have you ever tried gradient nails? Leave a link to your  efforts in the comments below - I love to see what everyone else has been up to!

(Have you made the move to BlogLovin' yet? Google Reader's closing at the beginning of July (sad face) so it seems most are making the move... come Follow my blog with Bloglovin).
